5 Star Learners

In Juniors we value being a 5 star learner. What does it mean to us?

   -  being responsible for your belongings, such as having your pencil and workbook ready for learning, being careful with IPads and headphones, keeping our classroom and bag room tidy

  -  being respectful by allowing others to learn, listening carefully to others, having learning goals in reading, writing and maths

  -  no excuses, work on your learning task, ask for help if you need it, do your homework, read each night and bring your diary.

We are well on the way!

Building Independence

Here are a couple of ways we can work together to encourage our Juniors to become more independent.   TAKE-HOME BAGS & BOOKS. We strongly encourage you to prompt or remind your child that it is their responsibility to pack their black take-home bag and exchange their book. We will prompt students to change their take-home books first thing as a part of our starting the day routine. CARRYING THEIR OWN BAG. This is certainly something that they CAN do independently.  Having this ownership gives them responsibility and a sense of belonging to the school environment.
