I am organised

I am organised

I am successful at school when I use the organisation key to success.

Mellor students are capable and organised. Here are some of the words they used to describe themselves when they are organised for learning. I feel confident,  happy, calm, enthusiastic, relaxed and ready to start learning.

Students are organised for the day when I arrive at school on time, carry and organise their school bag independently and sign in on the sign on sheet. They are ready to start learning everyday after they scan and return readers and library books, then put them away in the correct place. Like adults, students sometimes enjoy reading a reader more than once. To develop fluency please allow your child to explore a book and develop understanding. Students consolidate fluency over several days and are encouraged to keep a reader for more than one day to reinforce reading strategies. Organised students are ready to select a Discovery Time activity to do. Great organisation to start the day happens when students deliver money to the money box and lunch orders to the office container. Mellor students are very capable and can manage all my personal property. Please make sure that their property is clearly labelled so it's easy to identify. Successful organised students have a hat in their school bag. This makes sure I am sun smart when I play outdoors. Successful organised students will use the learning intention and success criteria displayed in the learning space for learning tasks to help organise their materials to start learning tasks on time.
