VOCABULARY

Pebble: The first small problem which occurs in a narrative.

Rock: A second and slightly larger problem which creates tension in a narrative.

Boulder: The climax or highest point in a narrative. The biggest problem.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Create a brainstorm of different pebble, rock, boulder sequences that could take place in a narrative.

Choose your favourite one and try to write a draft of what it could look like.
