GEC Pride Expo

The first ever GEC Pride Expo, run by the Rainbow Retreat, to mark IDAHOBIT Day was a huge success! About 80 students popped into the expo to participate in a range of fun activities, from guess the lollies, hand painting and beading to painting, drawing and Jenga. Students enjoyed picking up some pronoun badges and rainbow stickers, and it was just a great way to promote GEC's Pride Group to the rest of the school cohort.

Thanks to Glen Eira Pride Youth Services for coming on down and running the 'guess the lollies' game. It was heartening to see so many students and teachers turn out to show support for our LGBTQIA+ students at GEC. In addition, The Rainbow Retreat excitedly watched on as the progress pride flag was hoisted, which thanks to The Rainbow Retreat, has now become a permanent fixture at GEC!
