Meet Occupational Therapist Kahla!

At Buderim, we are a truly multidisciplinary team offering Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, and Psychology, and also have Allied Health Assistants. In last month's newsletter we proudly introduced our psychological services and speech pathology team members.  

This month we introduce our newest Occupational Therapist - Kahla!

Kahla is a passionate and motivated Occupational Therapist who recently moved to the Sunshine Coast. Kahla has over 10 years experience working as a paediatric OT. She loves to use play based intervention applying the Play continuum, Pyramid of Learning, Sensory Intergration and aspects from DIR floortime. Focusing on providing gross and fine motor intervention, handwriting, typing and assistive technology recomendations for learning disorders, behavioral management, social and emotional strategies, cognitive, visual perceptual skills, functional modification and life skills training.

WOW she really knows how to do it all! Kahla’s passion is providing supports in early intervention and recognises the importance of working with both children and families in the clinic and community settings.

On the weekends Kahla loves to explore the beautiful Sunshine Coast with her young family and border collie or will be catching up on the phone with her twin sister and family.We are so so excited to have Kahla bringing her experience and fun loving nature to our ever growing team.
