Soccer

Last week we sent a boys team and a mixed team to compete in the Colac Divisional Soccer Tournament. The day started out cold and windy and only got worse from a weather perspective with rain pouring down and turning the soccer pitches into modified mud rinks. Nonetheless both of our teams soldiered through the conditions and had some great results. The mixed team won 2 out of 3 of the group games and narrowly missed out on finals. Meanwhile, our boys team went through the group stage undefeated before easily accounting for Elliminyt in the semi-final, winning 9-2. We then progressed to the final against Sacred Heart and although the boys gave their best effort, fell short of a win as the game finished 1-4.

Cross Country

The Divisional Cross Country was held at the Colac Golf Club this week. We had some fantastic individual results with Edie Mackay winning her age group and Harriet Darcy finishing second. Paddy Geue finished in 3rd place in his age group and represented the school fantastically. Students times are currently being processed and we will notify students who have qualified for the Greater Western Cross Country held in Warrnambool.
