Western Metro Zone Championships - Intermediate Volleyball Wednesday 3rd May

Girls results

Game One – Drew with Manor Lakes SC

Game Two – Loss to Maribyrnong College (very close game)

Game Three – Loss to Braybrook College (Championship winner)

The step up in standard was obvious from the beginning of the day and to the Girls credit they were able to match the competition. They exceeded expectations and should be proud of their performances. Support for each other and improved communication on the court was a highlight. Continuing to work on refining passing skills, consistency with serving and court movement are areas that will be a focus in the future.

Boys results

Game One – Drew with The Grange

Game Two – Loss to Maribyrnong College (Championship Winner)

Game Three – Win against Braybrook (1 set all and ahead on points in the third set)

As the scores indicate the boys team were very competitive throughout the day. The standard of play was high, and the boys should be congratulated in the manner they represented the school. Thanks again to Rob Straube for coaching.

AFL Girls Inter-school Sport

 Tuesday 16 June 2023

Our intermediate girls AFL team had a fantastic day out at Winters Reserve in Belmont. The sky was blue, the rain held off, but it was bitterly cold. The first game of the day saw our students win convincingly with a very high score against Belmont - 31 to 6. The second game proved more challenging with a low scoring game against Lara 8 to 4 in our favour.

In the semi-finals we faced Western Heights, whose polished game play and loaded interchange bench saw us exit the tournament definitively.

Our team, capably coached by our school Sports Captain Faith Qoon, showed remarkable courage, grit and determination.

Congratulations to the team. I am very proud of you all.

Mrs Scott, Team Manager.
