Visual Communication
Year 12
The Unit 3 (year 12) students are hard at work beginning their major folio task – 2 designs of their choice. It is an exciting chance for students to learn more about a design field that they are interested in and develop a folio that they can use for university course entry!
Year 11
Unit 1 (year 11) students have been learning about the elements and principles of design and how they can be applied in different ways. These students chose a season (Autumn, Winter, Spring or Summer) and then developed and made lino prints to represent that season.
Year 10
Year 10 students have been hard at work on their architectural projects, some students are building a scale model of their dream bedroom, other students are making a model of a shop such as a café or beauticians parlour.
Year 9
A few weeks ago in the newsletter you would have seen Peter from Ford presenting to the Year 9 students about being an industrial (car) designer. Students then developed their own futuristic vehicle designs, and just last week they were able to present to Peter from Ford motors and receive feedback on their designs and how they pitched their ideas. The students were fantastic! (Many of the students were camera shy, but you can see their work here).
Year 8
Year 8 students were super excited to design their own skateboard. They created a wide range of designs, and students had fun transferring their designs onto the full size skateboard by either painting or colouring with pencil and markers. Here are some images of students hard at work and a couple of their final designs.
