Grade 5

Over the past term, the Grade 5 students have been exposed to a variety of non-fiction through both reading and writing informative texts. This was linked to our Inquiry unit on the Human Body, as they used this skill to choose a system they had learnt about over the term and write an informative text about it. Within Maths, the Grade 5’s investigated Chance and Data and also Measurement. Students have also enjoyed exploring Respectful Relationships and 6 lucky students (Annie, Zoe, Luke, Xander, Macalah and Bella W) were involved in a leadership program supporting Gender Equality within schools. Finally, Term 2 was a big one for school sport, with Cross Country, Hoop Time and Winter Sports all widely enjoyed.
