Court is in session

Year 12 Legal Studies classes were given the opportunity to meet and be lectured by the Honourable Roger Dive, the former Magistrate and Senior Judge of the Drug Court of NSW. 

The topics discussed were the role of the Magistrate in criminal trials and sentencing, the role of the Drug Court in rehabilitating drug dependent non-violent offenders and information on the consequences of drug use. 

Students were also provided with the opportunity to ask questions and engage with real life examples of cases which Roger Dive has been involved in. Aditya Datt and Cisem Kolac also had the privilege of interviewing our guest speaker for the school podcast - The Cecil Voice.
