Respectful, Responsible, Successful

Year 7 - Term Two Highlights

Our Year 7 students have hit the ground running this term, immersing themselves in a wide range of subjects and demonstrating a thirst for knowledge. They have been actively engaged in classroom discussions, showcasing their critical thinking skills and willingness to explore new ideas. In addition to their academic pursuits, students have actively participated in multiple exciting extra-curricular events that have further enriched their school experience, including camp, Cross Country and Kaboom Percussion Incursion. Here are some of the notable moments:

Year 11 - Creating a study schedule

At this stage of their education, it is vital for our Year Eleven students to establish and adhere to a study schedule. A well-planned routine enables them to effectively manage their time, maintain focus, and achieve their academic goals. By allocating specific blocks of time for studying, reviewing notes, completing assignments, and preparing for assessments, they can enhance their learning outcomes and develop valuable time management skills that will benefit them beyond high school. We encourage you to support your child in establishing a study schedule that suits their individual learning style and commitments. Here are a few helpful tips:

Consistency is key: Encourage your child to establish a regular study routine by allocating dedicated time each day for focused learning. Consistency helps develop discipline and reinforces a productive study habit.

Set specific goals: Work with your child to set achievable goals for each study session. This provides a sense of direction and motivation, making the study process more purposeful and rewarding.

Create a comfortable study environment: Ensure your child has a quiet and well-organised space to study, free from distractions. A comfortable and dedicated study area can greatly enhance concentration and productivity.

Break it down: Help your child break down larger tasks or projects into smaller, manageable chunks. This approach fosters a sense of progress and success.
