Year 7 Camp

In Week 2, Year 7 students had the opportunity to partake in a three-day Great Aussie Bush Camp in Tea Gardens. A range of fun activities including archery, giant swing, kayaking, pioneering, flying fox, mud world and night commando were facilitated by qualified instructors.

This camp allowed our students to:

  • Step out of their comfort zone
  • Engage in new experiences
  • Conquer their fears
  • Learn new skills
  • Demonstrate exceptional teamwork
  • Foster new friendships and strengthen existing bonds
  • Build rapport amongst the cohort

The response from Year 7 students has been overwhelmingly positive. Here are what some of the students had to say about their overall experience:

“The highlight of camp for me was the fun, exciting and adventurous activities.”

- Elise Carroll

“Camp was exciting and fun. I encourage next year’s Year 7s to go so they don’t miss out on a great experience!”    - Jason Chheang

“The best experience for us was the mud run. It was fun putting it on people’s faces and doing the obstacle courses.”    – Hannah Wrage and Monique Shah

“My favourite experience from the camp was spending time with my friends and getting to know others in my group.”    - Jeyda Kurtonal

A huge thank you to the supervising teachers - Mr Dunn, Ms Sentic and Mr Lee -  who accompanied the Year Advisers on this camp. Without teachers like these, such events are not possible.
