Principals Report

 With the colder weather it has been fantastic to see everyone wearing their winter uniform and staying warm. Please remember that any uniform purchases can be made at the canteen. We also provide clean uniforms at the front office -  just for the day  - for any students who require it. I am very proud that wearing of the correct uniform is almost at 100% this term. Great work THS!

Well done to all our students who participated and tried their best at the athletics carnival -  it was a great day! Congratulations to our winning house, Cunningham, as well as all our age champions and runners-up. A big thank you to all our staff for making this event possible, with special mention to Mrs  Amanda Jones, Mr Chris Coker and in particular, our very enthusiastic and passionate organiser, Mr Cook. Last week I very briefly had the pleasure of calling in at Guyra to see our Ag team who were taking part in the Northern Schools Lamb Competition. Despite being a bit chilly, we did extremely well, and our students, as always, represented THS exceptionally. Thank you to Mr Phil Jones, Ms Olivia Parker, Hughie and Mrs Liz Bulmer for making this possible for our students.

At THS we are so lucky to have the best office staff I have ever come across in Jo,  Donna, Linda,  Kelly B and Kelly M. They are the most helpful, approachable, patient (they have to deal with me!) and just all- round lovely ladies that you can imagine. In this edition they have put together some important information about making school payments, using vouch and our school portal, which I encourage everyone to read.

Finally, we are really hoping to see as many Grandparents as possible on the 9th June for Grandparents Day! This is always a highlight of our year, and we are very much looking forward to this special day.
