Reading | To investigate the structure and features of non-fiction texts and exploring the difference between fact and opinion. |
Writing | To write information reports about another class member. They will also be learning about the meaning of suffixes as word endings. |
Maths | To investigate fractions through workshop groups. Students will be using hands-on materials to demonstrate their understanding. |
Science | To conduct an experiment demonstrating friction. |
Inquiry | To construct two different height ramps for 2 cars to travel on and stop at different end points. |
Social & emotional learning | To decide on encouraging words to use as a supporter for runners in the cross country. |
News and Thank you
Year 3’s will be part of the Junior Cross Country event this Friday morning, the 28th of October. Classes have been preparing themselves through practice runs to become familiar with running a longer distance.
This week is Children's Week and during lunch times students have a variety of indoor and outdoor activities to choose from.
Thank you to all the effort families put in preparing children for the 'CRAZY HAIR DAY' and the coin donations to help fight against Cystic Fibrosis.
