Upcoming Learning

During the next fortnight (weeks 5 and 6 of term 4) students will be undertaking learning in following areas:

Reading	We are focusing on fluency- looking at character conversations in stories
Writing	We are learning to write a comic, looking at character voices We are learning to use wordless books to create verbal stories
Maths	We are learning about capacity We are learning about number- counting forwards and backwards, counting on and recognising collections to a numeral
Science Inquiry	We are learning about forces- bringing all of our learning together We are looking at the evolution of Toys, looking at toys from 1990-2010
SEL	We are learning to use persistence and to have acceptance
Phonics/Spelling	We are learning to use the digraph sh and ch

-Please continue to practice all oxford words and read every night

Hats

A reminder that hats are required for students to play outside in term 4. These must sunsmart hats such as broad brim or bucket .
