From the Principal's Desk

Dear Parents and Carers
It is great to see our students, staff and families back at Salvado Catholic College for Term 4, ready for the last term of 2022. Term 4, as always is action packed, and I encourage all our families to keep up to date with what is happening via the eNewsletter, live calendar on our website and emails and SMS that come out too. We look forward to unveiling a new SCC app shortly, where you will be able to go to access notices, the calendar and other quick links.
I continue to encourage parents and carers to make contact with your child's teacher if you wish to discuss any concerns or successes about your child's learning journey. As a College we continue to promote our home/school partnership and work together for the best interests of all our students. It is great to have full classes in our Primary years heading into 2023. If you know of families looking for a Year 7 or Year 8 position in 2023, let them know that there are still places available.
This week our Year 7 and Year 8 students and staff moved up to the first floor of the Science and Design building, enjoying the teaching and learning (as well as the views) from our new Learning Spaces. All our students across the College have enjoyed visiting the new Kaadadjiny Hub, our new Library and Technology Hub. Kaadadjiny is a Noongar word meaning thinking, learning and understanding. We know that the Kaadadjiny Hub will be a special place at Salvado Catholic College for years to come where our students will gather to think, learn and understand more and more each and every day.
Wishing our Year 8 students all the best as they participate in the Year 8 Lightning Carnival. All the best to the Year 3 to Year 6 Interschool Athletics Team who will also be competing in the next couple of weeks.
Thank you to Friends of Salvado for planning this Friday's Sundowner at the College. We hope to see lots of our families from across the College in attendance, enjoying our College community.
A huge thank you to the efforts of Mr Nathan Phillips for the work he does around Salvado Catholic College to keep our grounds looking amazing. You are a star Nathan!
At the end of Term 3 it was announced that Mr Ian Hagen will be the new Principal of Salvado Catholic College from 2023. I know that Ian is very excited to be joining the Salvado Catholic College community. Congratulations Ian on your appointment!
Keep our Year 6 students and other students in the Parish who are preparing for their Confirmation which will be celebrated next weekend for our students at the 6:00pm Mass on Sunday 23 October.
Peace & Happy Days!
Santino Giancono
Principal
