Wellbeing Week in 3/4
Filling our Buckets
We read a book about a boy named Felix who becomes really sad and upset when things don’t go his way. It showed a bucket on his head and it explained how this bucket can be filled and emptied by what you and other people do and say. If you help someone else out, it fills their bucket, and your own.
The buckets show how different people are feeling throughout the day depending on their experiences and how you can have a positive impact on people’s moods and change your own if your feeling down.
We wrote a nice message to a special person in our school to make them feel good about themselves.
When we did this, it made us feel like we were being kind, caring and genuine to others and it made us all feel really good.
Meditation Tangle Designs
We have continued to find time for meditation in class. We learnt to create these tangle designs which are made by dividing a shape into small parts and then filling each section with tiny patterns. We have to do this really quietly and calmly and to focus our minds on the patterning…..
Evie: I enjoyed just being able to draw patterns to create a design. It was really relaxing.
Massi G: It felt really nice and relaxing. It was like drawing but you had to put a little more skill into it and then you get a really good design.
