Prayer

We pray for each of our Year 12 students as they prepare for the Higher School Certificate.

PRAYER BEFORE MY HSC EXAMS

Loving God, I know that I am not alone in these exams

because you are here with me now and you love me.

Help me to remain calm, to remember the information I need,

and to trust that you have a wonderful plan for my life.

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find;

knock and the door will opened to you."

Final Days of Year 12

I speak personally and on behalf of the school community when I offer our prayers, support and appreciation to the Year 12 students as they conclude their journey at St Pius X College and head towards  their HSC examinations.

The students have had the opportunity to enjoy a few activities during their last days here at the College, with a Students vs Staff Basketball game, a handball competition last week, and a breakfast BBQ yesterday.

We held a wonderful Internal Graduation at the Concourse yesterday where we had the opportunity to celebrate Year 12's contribution to the College and today we held their Graduation Mass in Our Lady of Dolours Parish Church led by Fr David and then the Graduation lunch at Miramare Gardens Terrey Hills.

End of Term 3

Today is the final day of Term 3, as we have the National Day of Mourning for Queen Elizabeth II tomorrow and Friday is a Staff Development Day.  Term 4 will commence on Monday 10 October.

COVID-19 Regulations Update

Another change to COVID-19 regulations was announced today by the NSW Government. From today, masks are no longer mandatory on public transport.  The government, however, continues to recommend the wearing of masks when people cannot physically distance from others.

This change will affect students travelling to and from school, as well as students travelling on buses to and from Oxford Falls.  We have announced this change to students at an Assembly today, where we also advised that students and staff are still welcome to wear a mask if they choose.

Students return to school for the start of Term 4 in full Summer Uniform

A reminder that students return to school for the start of Term 4 in full Summer Uniform. The Uniform Shop has closed for the term and will reopen on Monday 10 October at 8.00 am.

The Summer Uniform consists of a regulation grey (Year 5 – 10) or white short sleeve shirt (Year 11 & 12) that does up at the collar and worn with the College tie. The College blue shorts or grey trousers (Years 7-12 only) are worn at the waist supported by a black belt.  If wearing shorts our boys wear the College long socks with garters, or black or grey socks with the long pants. Footwear must be black leather lace-up school shoes that take a shine.

On colder days, the College jumper is able to be worn. The College rain jacket is only to be worn on wet days and/or as part of their Sports Uniform.  The College Uniform also includes the College Backpack.

Climate Movie Presentation

Monday night was a night of great excitement for our Drama students who were involved last year in the making of the Climate Movies.  The movies were shown on Monday night at the Sarto Centre, along with other entertainment during the evening. Congratulations to Ms Penny Lindley for her organisation of this evening.

Year 9 Camps in Term 4

In Term 4 our Year 9 students will be having their Camps at the College’s retreat facility, Workul Koo. It is on the beach at Terrigal and the boys will have a great experience. They will attend camp in their Homeroom classes, commencing in Week 1.  I thank Mr Gillogly, Mr Dobb, Ms Barwick, Mr Kovacic, Mr Barnes, Mr O'Byrne, Mr Ryan, Mr Perry, Ms Wang, Mrs Lee and Mr Quilty who will be attending the camps.
