Cricket Skills Sessions

On Tuesday students in Years 5 and 6 took part in some cricket skills sessions run by Henry Cupitt from Cricket NSW.

The students practised a variety of skills such as throwing, catching, batting and bowling and enjoyed playing many different games.

It was great to see the students engaged and having fun and it seems we have many fine cricket players at St Xavier’s.

Todd Woodbridge Cup Regional Finals

Nine terrific Stage 2 students competed at the Todd Woodbridge Cup Regional Finals in Tamworth on Monday. They played schools from Gunnedah, Tamworth, Armidale and Inverell. The sportsmanship and school pride shown by our students was unprecedented and acknowledged by others. The experience was enjoyed by all levels of skill, some even deciding to pick up the racket more often.
