Prayer

Loving Father,

as we come to the end of another term

we turn to you in confidence and place any difficult relationships

into the healing hands of Jesus, your Son.

Enable us to leave behind any regrets or worries,

entrusting the past to your mercy, the present to your love,

and the future to your providence.

Help us appreciate more the need to keep a good balance in our lives.

May the holiday be for us a time of rest and recreation to help restore us

and re-create us in your image and likeness,

as we enjoy more of the love and presence of our families,

on whom we ask your blessing.

Amen.

St Vincent de Paul Fundraiser - Pyjama and Bed Hair Day

Last Friday, Years 2 and 3 organised and promoted a Pyjama and Bed Hair Day in order to raise money to purchase blankets and other goods for our local Vinnies branch to give to those in need. We are pleased to announce that, thanks to your generosity, we were able to raise $500. Mrs Jacinta Stanley, a Gunnedah Vinnies volunteer, will be attending our Week 10 Assembly to receive the goods we’re purchasing and wrapping this week. Thank you, again, for your amazing support of this wonderful event.

Prayer to St Vincent:
O Lord,
give us the grace,
That You bestowed upon,
Your servant St. Vincent de Paul,
To relinquish the temptation,
Of material things,
In our holy effort,
To minister to the poor.
Amen.
