Health and PE Week

August 29th to September 2nd, the THS community grabbed an apple and their fitbits to celebrate being physically active and healthy.

The festivities commenced with Year 8 Day which saw our students head out to Epping YMCA for a fun filled day of sports and recreational activities which included indoor beach volleyball, netball and hockey. Year 7s had a house dodgeball competition at lunchtimes which lasted the week, with Saunders taking top spot overall.

Wednesday, the Year 10s engaged in several workshops run by health organisations to highlight the importance of the choices they’ll be making regarding their health over the coming years.

The seniors had their own version of the Futsal world cup, with teams representing different countries competing at the upcoming world cup. The team from Poland were a class above, taking home the trophy.

We can’t forget about the staff, who were treated to a nutritious breakfast, prepared by our incredible VET Kitchen Operations students and some inhouse circuit training sessions. The week finished with our annual Footy Colours dress up day.

A massive thanks to all the staff and students who got involved and made this week a success.
