Calrossy Secondary

Week 10 B at Calrossy Secondary

It's been another busy and productive Term Three at Calrossy. This week we farewell our Yr 12's so we have special events to help celebrate this occasion and make sure the week is fun and memorable. Here are the planned events

Year 12 Graduation – Wednesday, 21st September

All students are to wear their full dress uniform including blazers. Students will start the day as normal and then have an early lunch from 12:05-12:45pm. Students will then attend the Year 12 graduation in the Bishop Peter Chiswell Hall on the William Cowper Campus. Students in Yrs 7-9 will depart as normal at the conclusion of the day and Students in Years 10 & 11 will be bused back to BSC.

Queens Memorial Public Day – Thursday, 22nd September - No student attendance

7-9 Billy Cart Derby – Friday,  23rd September

Students will have already pre-registered their team with Mr McDonald. All students (whether competing or not) are to come to school in mufti clothes that can get dirty. The day will begin with all students involved in community service initiatives.

The Billy Cart Derby will commence at 12pm and conclude at 2:30pm. Billy Carts will need to be dropped off behind the hall on the morning of Friday 23rd September.

Lunch will be provided for all students in Yrs 7-9

The Billy Cart Derby will take place in the paddock behind the Hall. Entry requirements and safety components have been communicated from Mr McDonald and include the wearing of full face helmets, a brake on each cart and motocross attire. We trust that this will be another successful billy cart derby as we carry on this great tradition.

Parents are welcome to attend from 12pm.

We wish all Calrossy families restful and  enjoyable break and we will see you back at Calrossy on Monday, October 10 for the beginning of Term Four.

Kind regards

Stephen Price

Head of Calrossy 7-9
