Thank you: ย Art Show, sausage sizzle and cake stall

Thank you Melbourne weather!

๐ŸŒง๏ธ When it was cold and rainy on the morning of our first ever Art Show, there was concern it was going to stay that way all day and put a dampner on our festivities. But in true Melbourne style (of often having four seasons of weather in one day), the sun broke free from the clouds and we were able to enjoy a magnificent afternoon together!

ย

Thank you SMPS community!

๐ŸŒค๏ธ It's not just the weather that made our Art Show such a joyous occasion.ย

Thank you to our SMPS staff for being passionate about bringing the event to life by organising and planning the day.ย

Thank you to our SMPS students who worked so hard throughout the year, then delighted in showing us many of their talents on the day.ย

Thank you to our generous community for sharing so many delicious treats for our cake stall, and donating/sourcing so many items for the sausage sizzle.

Thank you to the SMPS staff and SMPS community members for generously giving their time on the day to organise, cook, and serve the food and drinks - and complete the job of cleaning up.

Thank you to the SMPS community for coming together to celebrate our children and enjoy a memorable afternoon together. ย

ย

Thank you!

๐Ÿ’š The SMPS Family & Friends group would like to say a sincere thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered or attended the event. It truly is a community event with contributions from everyone making the event a success!

We sincerely apologise if we have left anyone off this list. If you notice a name is missing, please let us know at smps.faf@outlook.com

ย

๐Ÿ’› To Miss Emma and Miss Kirsty. The FAF simply couldn't achieve all it does without your never ending help and patience! Thank you for all the hours of hard work and support you provide, with big smiles, to the FAF!ย

๐Ÿ’š To Miss Tess. Thank you for all your efforts keeping our books balanced and organised. With all the money we're raising, it must take you ages! Thank you for always helping us get those invoices paid!

๐Ÿ’› To Miss Jess. Our teacher liaison: Thank you for supporting the FAF in 2022!

๐Ÿ’š To Mr Noel and all the SMPS staff. Thank you for always doing all you can to help and support us with our activities at the SMPS events. Your dedication and level of excellence inspires us.

ย

๐Ÿ’™ To all the families and friends who supported SMPS by:

  • donating prizes to, or buying tickets in, our Easter raffle
  • purchasing books via the Scholastic Book Club
  • donating uniform to, or purchasing second uniform from, our SHUS
  • sharing photos and stories for this page in our newsletter
  • generously supporting our sausage sizzle and cake stalls held at the Celebration of Learning day in May, and at the Art Show this month

๐Ÿ’› And last but certainly not least, thank you to everyone in our community who volunteered to be a part of the FAF group this year. I, Georgie, (current FAF President), am grateful for the time you have dedicated to our meetings, running the SHUS, and helping arrange our fund raising events.ย

Thank you Doug, Rashmi, Niharika, Siang, Rennie, Jacqueline, Jane, Nurul, Ange and our community member who provides much support and guidance, Sim.

I look forward to seeing what the FAF achieves in 2023!ย

$10,000!!!

In this, our second full year in operation, the FAF has helped raise over $10,000!!! Well done, and thank you, SMPS community!

This year, the funds raised have contributed towards the line markings installed in the playground, and the purchase of a BBQ, (which will be delivered soon). We look forward to firing up the BBQ in 2023! To Andrew and Jess, (our chefs at the Art Show), get ready!
