Garden Club Update

We are so proud of everything our garden club team has done this year! Thanks to all the garden club staff helpers, students, and our amazing community, the garden space has been completely transformed this year.

We’ve seen seeds grow to huge plants, built many garden beds, spent many sunny lunch times watering, weeding and fertilising, and even harvested and eaten our own food (yum!)

The enthusiasm from the students has kept the garden flourishing. We aim for the garden to continue to continue to grow long into the future and to keep being utilised by our school community. We can’t wait to get our hands dirty again in 2023!

We have had some great sustainability initiatives this year, carried out by our fantastic Sustainability Leaders in Grades 4, 5 and 6. Our biggest project was starting a system of collecting organics waste around the school and turning it into compost. Our leaders have worked so hard to improve school sustainability! We are excited to continue this journey next year.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us this year – staff, students, and families!

Please enjoy below some of our highlights from garden club this year!

Sustainability Heroes of the Week

Our sustainability heroes this week are students who participate in our Elevate program at school. They made these awesome decorations for our garden out of reused CD’s! Thank you for helping our community by making the garden so colourful.
