Important Upcoming Events

Trial Athletics Carnival (Years 2 - 6 ONLY)

This will be held Thursday next week (23rd June). Students will be transported in grades to the Tamworth Regional Athletics Centre to race in the 100m and 200m running event. This is a trial only. This event is held to determine who will be in the Championship Events at the Athletics Carnival. Keep an eye out on Compass to consent to this event. Students will need to wear their sports uniform on Thursday 23rd June, instead of Wednesday 22nd June.  

 

Parent helpers

I have been overwhelmed by the parent helper volunteers who have offered to help at the Trial Athletics carnival. I literally drew names out of a hat. Thank you so much to everyone who has offered to help. Please see below the timetable for the trial athletics carnival. 

 

 

Athletics Carnival

Our School Athletics Carnival will be held on Thursday 28th July (Term 3, Week 2 ).  More information will be in future Newsletters. Please keep an eye out on Compass to consent for this event.

 

High Jump

A massive Thank you to Mrs Dubois, Mrs Bridge, Mr Cartan and Mr Dubois for running our school High Jump. It would not have run so successfully without you. Thank you to all the students who attempted high jump and congratulations to the place getters. These students will get these points tallied to their overall points for age championships.

Sport and School Activity Levy

Just a little reminder to pay the Sport and School Activity Levy if you haven't already done so. This levy covers buses to and from the primary, to and from sporting events, Gymnastics, Tennis and the hire of both the swimming pool and athletics track. Please check on your Compass portal whether this needs to be updated. 

Armidale Diocesan Cricket Trials

Tomorrow we have 6 students representing our school at the Armidale Diocesan Cricket Trials held in Tamworth. The students will be competing against 46 other students for a place in the diocesan team. We wish these students luck and warmer weather.

Draws

Draws are no longer handed out due to changes that can be made to divisions at any time throughout the competition. Please go to the Oztag website for times.

Note: Only new teams need nominate. Teams from the Winter Comp (1st Comp) are already carried over into the 2nd comp. Same team codes apply, players need to join team again & pay fees via this link

The Armidale Diocesan Primary Sports Council is a body representative of the Catholic Education Office, Principals and Sports Coordinators from all Diocesan Primary Schools. The ADPSC offers a pathway for Armidale Diocesan students in most sports.
