The Lion King Junior

DISNEY THE LION KING JUNIOR

Morning to the ACPS Pridelands,

What an exciting week it was with our first full reading and sing through.  We managed to get some lights up and 8 mics working (well…at least for the first few minutes!).  This gave our sound and light crew a chance to experience what it would be like to ride the sound desk and switch mics on and off (old school style - which is VERY difficult)  They all did very well and, of course, this was their first time with having to deal with many things on the go,,, sound recording, lights, video recording and multiple microphones on the go.

The cast did a terrific job, especially as a number of songs - we haven’t had much chance to go over.

I think we can all feel the little bubble of energy that is now growing with the production. We will commence blocking and choreography in the holidays and should have the show fully staged before next holidays.

Enjoy your holidays everyone and see you all on Friday 8th of July at ACPS Theatre.

HOLIDAY REHEARSAL DATES

REHEARSALS Will take place at the ACPS theatre on FRIDAY 8th July and SATURDAY 9th of July from 10am - 4pm.

THE  PRODUCTION/ARTISTIC TEAM

This project is run by volunteers who have many years of experience in their field and/or currently working in that field.  We are all working together to make Disney The Lion King Junior a wonderful experience for every child who participates and every person who attends.  I personally would like to take this opportunity to give the biggest THANK YOU to Jho Suckling and Lilli Lawrence, who have invested over 200 hours go their time this term creating the amazing masks that the children will wear!  These masks began their lives as Cereal Boxes and  have ended them as beautiful works of art!
