Matariki Celebrations at WHS: 

Last Thursday we celebrated Matariki as a school. Our Junior School had a shared breakfast in the hall and our Senior School had a shared breakfast in the ILE.

Our Middle School - appropriately - celebrated in the middle of the day with a sausage sizzle and carrot cake in our hall.

In the afternoon children were engaged in all kinds of traditional activities - making string art, string games, strategy games, creating artworks and so on.
