Visionwest is launching the 24 Hour No Power Challenge to help shine a torch on the challenges many people face during the coldest months.

This fundraising campaign will raise money to help ease the burden of stress, hunger and cold for struggling families this winter by providing:

  • Winter Care Packs - with some of the basics like warm bedding, clothing and shoes. Packs are tailored to meet the specific needs of individuals and families.
  • Budgeting Support - Visionwest's financial mentors help develop personalised budgeting plans so families can pay off debt and get their finances back on track.
  • Counselling - Visionwest's counselling team helps people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma and grief.
  • Emergency Food - to help families who are struggling to put enough nourishing food on the table.

The 40-hour famine is happening from 1 to 3 of July this year! If your child wants to take part, they can sign up and collect a sponsorship booklet from Miss Westerhof in Room 5.

This year, the focus is on providing safe drinking water to children all over the world. Did you know that today, 800 children died because they didn’t have clean water? And another 800 children are at risk of dying. Every. Single. Day.

Right now, we can bring life-saving water to children in the world’s toughest places - and we can give their communities the tools to keep clean water flowing for years to come.
