RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

This Thursday 23rd  June, Fr Michael will lead us in celebrating our school’s Feast of the Sacred Heart Day Mass. The actual celebration day for the Feast of the Sacred in 2022 is marked on the Liturgical Calendar on Friday 24th June. However, this is the last day of term and is a school closure day for students as the Sacred Heart staff continue with their professional development journey in Reframing Learning and Teaching Environments (ReLATE).

Our Year 6 Leaders have been visiting classrooms to encourage students to speak to their families about how they can give generously to those in need. Unfortunately there are many families in our community that are experiencing tough times and through your donations of food, clothing, toys and toiletries etc they will find some comfort.  We ask that all donations be taken to the school office and on Thursday afternoon our school leaders will take the donations from our Sacred Heart School to St Vinnies where I’m sure they will be gratefully received.

During Term 3 the Sacrament of Eucharist and Confirmation will be offered to students from Sacred Heart. Families from both Sacred Heart and St Mary’s school communities, will come together to Commit, Prepare and Present before the final Celebration Mass takes place.

Tomorrow afternoon the Sacramental Team will meet at the Parish to organise dates for the Sacrament of Eucharist and Confirmation.

Take care and enjoy a well deserved break.
