Working With Children Check

We require all parents and volunteers who attend school excursions or volunteer in the classrooms, to have a Working with Children Check.  You can now fill WWC Check application online. Please go to http://www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au/

After you fill out your details, print out your application form and take it to an Australia Post outlet with your proof of identity and a passport size photo for processing.

Please bring  your WWCC card to our school office and we will do an induction so that you can attend excursions and help in the classroom. This induction only takes 5 minutes, is only done once a year and is conducted from our school office.

Camps, Sports & Excursions Funding (CSEF)

Dear Parents

In 2015 the Victorian Government unveiled a new $148 million initiative to ensure all Victorian students can take part in school trips and sporting activities.  The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) provides payments for eligible students to attend camps, sports and excursions.

Families holding an eligible Centrelink Health Care, Pensioner Concession or Veterans Affairs Gold  card or are a temporary foster parent are able to apply. The cards must be valid as of the first day of term 1

(28th January 2020) or term 2 (14th April 2020).

$125 per year will be paid for eligible primary school students. Payments will go directly to the school and be tied to the student.  These funds can only be used for school camps, swimming, excursions, incursions and outdoor education programs.  Any money unspent at the end of the year will carry over to the next school year for the same purpose.

If you are eligible to receive this payment, please collect a form from our school office or down load the form from the attached link

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact our office on 5256 1411.

Excursion Payment Options

Each family has their own personal log in & password details for Compass. You can use these details to consent and pay for excursions. Most events/excursions will show on your Compass home page in My News. Click on the blue hyperlink for more information and you will  have access to either print the form or Process Now, which will take you directly to a consent and payment form to provide permission and   payment.

Please note that you will still receive a hardcopy of all excursion notes for those families who wish to pay cash, use their CSEF or have prepaid at the start of the year.

Payments can not be made via Compass from your phone, only computers.

Please note that it is no longer possible for teachers or office staff to accept payment or ring to ask for

permission for students to attend an excursion on the day of the event.  This causes a lot of disruption

within the classroom particularly if the excursion is taking place at the beginning of the day.

If you have any questions or concerns please call into our school office.

Please make sure that you call the school or enter your child’s/children’s absence through the

COMPASS Parent Portal, prior to 9am on the day of their absence, to ensure you do not receive the text unnecessarily.

If you have any questions regarding this message please call our office on 5256 1411.

School Hours

Start: 8:45am, Finish 3:15pm     Recess 10:45-11:20am,     Lunch 1:15-2:15pm

Labelling Personal Items

Please check that your child’s school uniform & all lunch containers have their names clearly marked on them. We often have a lot of unnamed items in our lost property cupboard that could easily be

returned to their rightful owners if they were named! Our lost property cupboard is located in the corridor of room 3 & 4 if you need to take a look.
