Term One 2020
A parent/guardian must remain with the child for duration of the 1st orientation session only. At the 2nd and 3rd orientation sessions parent/guardian may drop off/pick up their child.

Under the Victorian Early Childhood Teachers and Educators Award, all educators are entitled to at least two child free days each year. These are taken at GEKA as follows:
- The first and second sessions in term 1 are child free (no children attend the program), so that educators can attend professional development, set up aesthetically pleasing environments and to prepare documentation for the educational programs.
- The last session in term 4 is child free (no children attend and the program finishes up one session early) so that educators can pack up the environments and complete documentation for the program.
We ask families to keep these days in mind when making start and end of year arrangements. All GEKA Kindergartens have the same term dates as Victorian State Schools.
Holiday Care 2020
The GEKA Holiday Care Program is for kindergarten aged children 3 to 5 years living within Glen Eira and the surrounding communities. In 2020 we will operate over four weeks of the year during the TERM 2 and TERM 3 holidays (excluding public holidays). Children from all GEKA services are eligible to attend.
Qualified educators operate our program, and we offer a variety of engaging activities from visual art, sports, music and movement, environmental education, cooking experiences and flexible indoor/outdoor play.
