Know Your Street Project

GEKA Community Partnership

GEKA have once again partnered with the Rotary Club of Caulfield, in the ‘‘Cityscape: Know Your Street’ Project! We worked with this organisation last year, as part of the footy exhibition, so it is an honour to be asked again.

The Murrumbeena Cityscape event was on Sunday November 10th, but children’s work was on display for the month of November, located at ‘The Community Hub’ 438 Neerim Road in Murrumbeena.  This was also the administration base for the day, with painters and local artists spread all around the shopping precinct.  Families were encouraged to visit the window and to participate in the community event.

Children from many GEKA services have created some incredible representations of their local community. The window display really did showcase the capabilities of young children, as well as their local knowledge. Well done to all of the children!

We were so proud to be involved and acknowledge our partnership too, with Jodie, from the ‘Moss and Maple Florist’ (who generously loaned us some plants to compliment the display).
