Take the time to talk with your child about the goals they are working toward, and the strategies and skills they are practising at school, particularly in Literacy and Numeracy.

In Literacy and Numeracy, our classroom teachers are committed to creating personalised learning goals to suit the individual learning needs of every child in their class. These goals are developed in consultation with the students, during individual and/or small group conferences, and learning experiences are then designed to address the achievement of those goals. Students are monitored between conferences to ensure that they are developing skills and strategies to achieve their goals. Individual goals are displayed in classrooms and students are encouraged to reflect on their goals as they work towards achieving them.
