Dr Marshall Art & Design Awards

The Visual Arts and Design department would like to congratulate all of the students who have worked so hard to produce the excellent work that you will soon see on exhibition at this year's annual Art and Design Exhibition via a Virtual Gallery tour sponsored by Dr Ken Marshall. The link to this virtual tour  will be emailed  in the next few weeks, enabling you to share the exhibition with members of the community who have been unable to see the exhibition due to COVID restrictions this year.

This exhibition will be a wonderful commemorative record of the work that students have worked so hard to produce despite the challenges of lockdown.  The Exhibition will be open to parents and students to walk through after the Presentation Day event on Wednesday, 8th December, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.

We would like to publicly acknowledge Dr Ken Marshall for the generous donation of $100,000 that will be invested to specifically enable a perpetual Art and Design Exhibition, with student prize money and medallions to continue on into the future. The ongoing legacy of Dr Marshall’s sponsorship celebrates and encourages creativity in the students at Blue Mountains Grammar School.  It has been wonderful to have a member of our local community so deeply engaged and supportive over the ongoing period of 20 years. This year we celebrate our 21st BMGS Art and Design Awards.

We would also like to acknowledge and thank Steven Patterson the CVEO of  Derivan Art Supplies for the generous contribution they make each year donating Art Prizes for BMGS students. All paint we use at BMGS and art kits are purchased from Derivan and the quality of their paint is outstanding. We choose to use Derivan as a supplier as it is 100% Australian owned and values sustainability employing environmentally sound practices in both the products and production.

Please find attached  this list of this year’s Prize winners:

We would also like to take this opportunity to remind all parents and students to download and use their Service NSW vouchers Creative Arts Vouchers as these will expire at the end of December.
