Hi, my name is Charlie and I am going to tell you about my favourite bit about the Year 3/4 Bike Ed camp. This year we were very lucky to go on a special camp in Maldon at the Bluelight youth camp. It was filled with great activities, including rock climbing, archery, night bush walks, a hike up the mountain, a visit to the local lolly shop and rides on the BMX track.

My favourite bit was the mini-golf. My favourite game on mini-golf was when my friend hit the golf ball and it went flying through the air and past three hole’s and got a hole in one in a whole different hole it was amazing.  I wasn't very good at mini-golf but I still had a good time.  My favourite hole was number 6. You would hit the ball and it would go down a slope and you would have to hit it back up but if you hit it hard enough it would go up and down in one go. I was good at that hole I came first every time on that hole I don't know why there were 18 holes. I versed my friends  Jackson and Angus a lot. The thing is Angus used to have golf lessons and Jackson and I did not so Angus had an advantage but Jackson was a natural at mini-golf because he won most of the holes. It was so much fun.  I am really glad we got to go to this camp.

My Bike Camp Recount

On the 15th of November, we went to Bike Ed camp. Everyone was all so excited and nervous. We got on the bus and waved goodbye to our parents. Then we left. It took an hour and 15 mins to have recess. Shortly after, we arrived in Malsbury. We saw the biggest bridge in Australia. It was 100 metres long and 25 metres above the ground. It was so cool, I was absolutely amazed. Then we had a little play and we met Mrs Conway's sister and her son.

Finally, we left, got back on the bus and headed to Maldon. We were on the bus for an hour and a half then we got there. It was so exciting, we got all our stuff and put it in our cabins. Straight away we got our helmets for our first ride there. It was a cool place and everyone was amazed. We did our first loop,  it was interesting.  We were having so much fun and then we could do it in a cool way. After that we played

mini-golf, it was lots of fun. We got a hole in one on the first one then we heard the siren  - it was really loud.  The siren means people come to help if anything thing happens. It keeps us safe.

Finally, we went to our cabins and we made our bed with our sleeping bags, once i was finished I went back to mini golf and then I went to the play area. Soon we were about to have dinner. I was starving. We had pasta. It was so yummy even though I don't even like pasta.

After dinner, we saw Ray -  that meant we were going on the night walk. Everyone was so excited. We walked past the town to the mountains. There was a lost cottage between the trees. We saw lots of cacti. It was the best I have ever seen.

After the night walk, we got back and we went to sleep. The next day I woke up still very tired.  We got dressed and I went to play some mini-golf. I got a hole in one. Soon it was time for breakfast, we were having pancakes it was so yummy. After breakfast I went back to mini-golf i had a great time. Once everyone was finished,  it was time for a bike ride,  It was so fun. We saw a baby kangaroo and two rabbits on the first lap. I did 4 laps with my friends and then it was time to do the activities.

We split up into 3 groups,  my group did rock climbing. Lots of people made it to the top. Then we visited the lolly shop. I got a lolly bag with fairy floss and  4 wizz fizz. I had a Wizz fizz and then we had archery. It was so much fun.  I knocked down 1 then it was time  we did some table tennis. Then we had lunch it was so yummy it was the best sandwich that I have ever tasted (I really enjoy the food on camp).  Once we finished lunch  we went for a scavenger hunt. We went to the old train station and the be hive gold mine. It was so cool.

Finally that night,  it was time for the disco with DJ JOPPERS whoopee. It was so funny. We had a dance  and then watched a movie. It was Bear Brother, I was so relaxed after the movie.  It was time for bed. I slept really well. The last day in the morning we had bacon and eggs with toast it was so yummy. Then we all went on a 4km hike. It was so tiring. I finally made it to the top of the hill. Then when we got back.  It was time to go :( we were all so sad,  we all said goodbye. We went on the highway we raced the other bus to get back to school.
