Staff Spotlight

Hi Cecil family! I'm Bianca Li Donni.

I started at our school in 2018 teaching English with a little bit of History.

What do you like to do when you're not working

I've been playing soccer for 18 years and I love the game and my teammates, who have grown into life-long friends. Soccer has taught me so many valuable lessons like how to be part of a team, instilling community spirit and being resilient when things don't go your way. One of the most important takeaways is the beauty of hard work and practice to become better at something.

I also love to read.... probably not that shocking for an English teacher.

Fun fact

I can say the alphabet really fast, backwards. Yes, it is as impressive as it sounds.

If Hollywood made a movie about you, who would you like to see cast as you?

Definitely Sandra Bullock.... she's a little bit weird and quirky like me!

What's your advice to students

Don't leave things for "future you" to deal with.   That can be a really easy cycle to fall into, especially when whatever it is seems difficult, scary or daunting. When we put things off; procrastinate; sweep it under the rug... we tend to create more stress for ourselves and end up feeling overwhelmed.

That assignment? Start it NOW.

Those chores you have to do before Sunday? Get MOVING.

The words you have to get off your chest so you feel lighter?  Go ahead and SAY them.

Deal with things as they come, not for a later day. I promise you will feel better for it.
