2024 School Subject Selection
Subject Selection for students in Years 9, 10 and 11 is progressing well and will commence for Year 8 students next week. Both students and parents have received a range of information from the Senior School 2024 Subject Selection Handbook and Subject Selection Information Night and Expo.

Year 11s
Web preferences close for students in Year 11, selecting their 2024 subjects at 3.30pm on Thursday 3 August.
Year 10s
Year 10 into 11 Subject Selection Planner - 2024 Academic or Applied Pathway, as well as Year 10 Career Planning Sheet is due by 3.30pm on Thursday 3 August 2023.
Course counselling interviews will run for all Year 10 students from Monday 7 August to Friday 11 August. Parent bookings for these will close at 3.30pm on Thursday 3 August. Our Career team will assign interview time slots to students without bookings after this time.
Web preferences for Year 10 students will open on the afternoon of Friday 11 August and close on Wednesday 16 August at 3.30pm.
Year 9s
Year 9 into 10 Subject Selection Planner - 2024 Academic or Applied Pathway as well as Year 9 Career Planning Sheet will open on Thursday 3 August. Parents and students will also be able to access their Morrisby Career Profile on Compass (under their Reports Tab) which will provide a valuable starting point.
Course counselling interviews will run for all Year 9 students from Monday 14 August to Friday 18 August. Parent bookings for these will open today and close at 3.30pm on Wednesday 9 August. Our Career team will assign interview time slots to students without bookings after this time.
Web preferences for Year 9 students will open on the afternoon of Friday 18 August and close on Tuesday 22 August at 3.30pm.
Year 8s
The Subject Selection Assembly for Year 8 students will occur during Period 1 on Wednesday 9 August. Students and their families will be provided with access to the Year 9 2024 Subject Selection Handbook. Web preferences will open the following week.
Students and parents are encouraged to seek advice from their student’s classroom teachers, Learning Mentors and our Careers Team to assist with their subject selection for 2024.
