Child Safety and Wellbeing
At St Martin de Porres Primary School, we hold the care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people as a central and fundamental responsibility of our school. Our commitment is drawn from and inherent to the teaching and mission of Jesus Christ, with love, justice and the sanctity of each human person at the heart of the gospel (CECV Commitment Statement to Child Safety).
St Martin de Porres has allocated roles and responsibilities for child safety and wellbeing.
Our Child Safety Team includes:
Principal - Dan Ryan
Child Safety and Learning Diversity Leader - Chiara Genovese
Student Wellbeing Leader - Kathy Blythe
Family Engagement Leader - Simone Whitehead

During Respectful Relationships this term the students are actively involved in Topic 6 Help Seeking. This topic fits very well within our Child Safety Standards particularly around Child Safe Standards 3 - Child and Student Empowerment. We aim to continue to build students' knowledge, understanding and skills to live and grow up healthy, have a say about decisions affecting them, get information that is important to them and be safe and not harmed by anyone.
