Presentation Masses

It was wonderful to see our Sacramental Candidates presented to the community at Mass on the weekend. We pray for these children and their families as they journey through this special time.

Dismissal Masses

The next two weekends the Sacramental Candidates will attend mass with their families and spend some time in the gathering space with teachers from St. Mary’s and Sacred Heart to develop their understanding of the weekly gospel. This is an important part of the preparation for undertaking the sacraments and it is an expectation that the children attend these masses. Fr Michael also offers a mass on Tuesday nights at 5pm if for any reason you are unable to commit to weekend masses.

Third World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly

A message for Pope Francis

Dear brothers and sisters! “His mercy is from age to age”. This is the theme of the Third World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly, and it takes us back to the joyful meeting between the young Mary and her elderly relative Elizabeth. The Holy Spirit, who had earlier descended upon Mary, blesses and accompanies every fruitful encounter between different generations: between grandparents and grandchildren, between young and old. God wants young people to bring joy to the hearts of the elderly, as Mary did to Elizabeth, and gain wisdom from the experience.

Prayer Gathering

Last week Kascha’s Grade ones shared a beautiful Prayer Gathering about friendship.

This week Leah and Miriam’s Grade Ones will lead us in prayer for our Grandparents and the Elderly to fit with the Third World  Day for Grandparents and Elderly.

Next week Matt’s Grade Twos will lead Prayer Gathering on the theme of Wisdom.

All welcome!
