Wellbeing News

It has been wonderful to see everyone settle into Term 3; Children playing well and demonstrating our school values. It has already been a busy term with lots of opportunities to develop social skills and build confidence and resilience.

Year 5 Camp.

The Year Five staff and students have spent 3 days away from the school environment. Enjoying each other's company in Phillip Island. I am sure we will hear about the student and staff experiences as the children come back to school this week. School camps are often cherished memories for students.

So what are the benefits of school camp?

- Disconnect with technology and reconnect with self and others

- Develop social skills

- Build lasting relationships with other students

- Staff and Students building a connection

-  Learn new activity skills

-  Improve independence and resilience

-  Expand experiences in nature

-  Teach personal organisation

- Decision making skills

Year 4 STAND TALL Wellbeing Program

This week the Year Four student participated in their first of four sessions of the STAND TALL Program. The STAND TALL wellbeing program supports children to build positive relationships and be the best they can possibly be through classroom-based activities and on-court practical experiences that give structure and meaning to Melbourne United’s values of excellence, selflessness and inclusion.

Here are some photos from the first session. We look forward to hearing more about it from our Year Four’s.
