Congratulations
The School wishes to congratulate Junior School teacher Miss Bronwyn Neville on her recent engagement. Miss Neville got engaged in December last year to fiancé John. We wish both all the best in this very exciting time!
Congratulations Year 12s of 2015
As a new Year 12 class looks at their final year of Secondary school, it is good to report on the students that have just finished up.
Congratulations to the Dux of the school who achieved an ATAR of 96.
While a number of our students have gone straight from school into the world of work, many have also chosen to continue with their education at TAFE and University.
This year, four students were also successful in securing traineeships and still others are taking time on a GAP year to spread their wings. We wish all of our 2015 Year 12 students the best on the next leg of their journey.
Positive Awards
At BHCS we will continue to recognise both staff and students for their efforts throughout the 2016 school year. Students are able to nominate their peers and acknowledge those students who go above and beyond in making BHCS a better place. Likewise we would love it if our parents could nominate staff members who they see doing an outstanding job in or out of the classroom. We all need a little encouragement, and the teachers at BHCS are no different.
Just go to our School's website:
www.bhcs.vic.edu.au and click on Parents, then Parent Resources and Award Nominations.. or click here
Student Banking
Student Banking is available for all students from Prep to Year 12. We have student banking programs for both the Commonwealth Bank and Bendigo Bank. If you are interested in opening an account for your child, simply drop into Reception and ask for an information pack. This is a great way to start teaching your child to save early in life. Student banking books simply need to be dropped into Reception on Tuesday morning, and will then be returned to your child by their homeroom teacher once they have been processsed.
Canteen
The school Canteen operates on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays each week. They are currently using their Spring/Summer menu, a copy of which is attached. It can also be found under the Parent Resource Section of the School’s website.
Don't forget that Canteen Online Ordering is also available through FlexiSchools. Payments can be processed online via Visa Card, Mastercard or Bank Transfer. This means less paper bags, cash, envelopes, etc. at school.
Ordering online is simple. Head to www.flexischools.com.au and click "Register". Once you register your email address, you will be sent further instructions via email.
Please ensure that you read and are aware of all the Terms and Conditions when you register.
Canteen Volunteers Needed
If you have a few hours free once a month, we'd love you to join our team of volunteers. We have a few 3 and 4 hour shifts available on Wednesdays and Fridays. Helping in the canteen is a great way to invest in the School Community and also a good way to meet other parents and students. Training is provided and no special skills are needed. If you're interested, please call me on 0401 587 320 on Tuesdays or Thursdays.
