In Week 6 we will be celebrating Book Week as part of Literacy and Numeracy Week.
The Library has organised a number of activities for all students to participate in across the week.
Monday 21 August (Secondary School only)
Visit by author Will Kostakis
Tuesday 22 August 22 (Secondary School only)
Visit by author Rawah Arja
Wednesday 23 August (Junior School only)
- Book Parade
- Drama performance
Thursday 24 August (whole school event)
Edible Book Festival
Students and families opt into this activity. The challenge is to create something sweet or savoury that is inspired by a book. It could be a particular book, an author, or tie in with this year’s CBCA Book Week theme of ‘Read, Grow, Inspire’. Cakes are brought to the Library before school. Students may come and view cakes at recess and vote.
Cakes will be cut up and sold for $2 at lunchtime with all money going to The Indigenous Literacy Foundation.
Please note, all cakes need to be nut free.
Monday to Thursday (Junior school)
Book Fair – before school, first half of lunch (ie Form time for Secondary)
