School News and

Learning at Joey's

What's happening at St Joseph's?

Students ventured up to the local preschool on Tuesday the 21st to engage in some sharing of pancakes for shrove Tuesday. We were very lucky to attend and look forward to many more adventures with the Warialda Preschool.

Friday Sport at St Josephs

Students participated in a collaborative game involving hoops, running and tag on Friday. We will take advantage of this time to engage in some extra sports activities for engagement, fun and skill development. We thank all teachers for their organisation and all students for their participation. A healthy body can help create a healthy mind.

RED Reading Program

Dear families,

We have had a great start to the Read Every Day (RED) homework with many students joining in and motivated to read daily. Reading daily has many rewards. It reinforces skills learned at school, broadens word knowledge and comprehension and builds enjoyment for books. Please remind your son or daughter to return their log sheets to school on Fridays.

In the classrooms, teachers have been working hard on developing personalised learning and meeting the needs of all of our students. There has been much work happening behind the scenes to ensure our students are receiving enjoyable and challenging learning experiences, with clear learning goals.
