IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Emergency Management Plans at EHSS
As a school, we are regularly working towards refining and bettering our procedures in all areas of the school. Currently, we are reviewing and modifying the processes of our current school wide Emergency Management Plan (EMP). One aspect of this plan is the way in which we as a school respond to certain situations so that we are managing and catering for the overall safety of all our students and staff. Furthermore, we are creating processes as to how we communicate these occurrences to the families of our students.
To give a brief overview of this information:
- We have four types of emergency announcements: Medical, Evacuation, Lockdown and Bomb Threat. We use a code system for these announcements.
- These can be emergency announcements specific to a learning place, a selection of learning places, or school wide.
- In the event of emergency announcement being made, a Compass notification will be sent to the families of students that were within the location that the emergency occurred.
If you require any more information about our EMP, either after reading this information, or upon receiving a Compass notification, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
