VCE ITALIAN CLASS: Yr 12

On January 24th-25th, the students of our year 12 Italian class attended a two-day summer intensive Italian course at COASIT in Carlton.  It was a rewarding experience because we were able to meet like-minded Italian students from schools all across Melbourne. It was fun to chat to them in Italian and it was really interesting finding out  about their passion for the Italian language.  Importantly, we practiced the fundamental skills needed to study VCE Italian as well as broadening our vocabularies and our understanding of the language.  It further consolidated our passion for the subject and inspired us, as learners, to work to the best of our ability in Italian.

We would like to thank our Italian teacher Prof Camera for inviting us and encouraging us to take this opportunity to expand our knowledge and improve our skills. To all the AMI girls, “in bocca al lupo” for this year.

It was wonderful to welcome back all students to the McAuley Resource Centre this week, especially the Year 7s.  The enthusiasm showed in their happy smiles as they explored and discovered the library for the first time in their orientation sessions.  Lots of questions blended with excitement was pleasing to see. We look forward to a productive year working with all the students with the joy of reading and research.

Please look out for the notices in the “Daily Messages” for information about our Book Clubs and special events coming soon.

Just a reminder that all items borrowed over the holidays are now due back.  Overdue notices will be automatically sent out on Monday.

Happy Reading!
