Lunar New Year Celebrations

2023 is the Year of the Rabbit and on Thursday 2 February, we celebrated Lunar New Year at Oxley. The event was held at lunchtime in the Dining Room. 

International students, Dr Peck, Mr Avram and some teachers were invited to lunch. The entire room was decorated with elements of red and it was absolutely amazing to see such beautiful decorations. Students learning Chinese in Year 10 and Year 11 cooked dumplings. There was also Asian fruits and packet juices. Red envelopes, with lollies in them, were given to students. Some of the international students have not gone home and this event made us feel like home. The event was cheerful, warm and encouraging and we could not have asked for anything better!
