Welcome to New Oxley Staff

Jenny Chang

Visual Communication Officer

It is great to join Oxley Christian College! I completed a Bachelor of Communication Design at RMIT and had been working in an advertising agency for the last 12 years. Working at Oxley will be a great opportunity to develop my skills.

I like doing exercise, watching movies, baking and reading when I have spare time.

Esther Chen

Junior School Learning Support Assistant

It’s a blessing to be able to join the Oxley Junior School as a Learning Support Assistant. I had previously studied Science and Primary Teaching but for the past 12 years have been a full-time mother of twins. I enjoy working with children of all ages and look forward to supporting students with additional needs in their learning journey.

Julie Choo

Senior School Learning Support Assistant

I am excited to join Oxley, and the opportunity to work with students and staff in Senior School. I love learning and discovering new things alongside students, being inspired as they grow in confidence and knowledge. In my downtime, I enjoy reading, spending time with family, and travelling.

Mitchell Gaiser

Junior School Teacher

Greetings all! I am truly thankful to God and the Oxley Christian College Core team for the opportunity to be teaching at this beautiful and God-honouring school. I am teaching Year 6 and I have thoroughly enjoyed my first week settling into the daily routines of Oxley Junior School and the building of excitement for the programs this year, such as VCOP Writing, changes to the Barn, and our Canberra camp coming up in a few weeks’ time. Outside of school you can find me rummaging through various record stores trying to add to my growing collection.

Elise Goodwin

Senior School Teacher

I am delighted to be re-joining Oxley Christian College this year as an English teacher. I will be teaching Years 7, 9 and 11 English as well as taking a Year 9 Home Group. I look forward to getting to know my students and to help guide them through their secondary school journey! I am passionate about teaching English, and hope that I can inspire my students to find a love for the subject too. I am also committed to encouraging students to be the very best they can be in all aspects of life, and to know that God has a unique, wonderful, and exciting plan for their lives.

Susan Kay

Junior School Learning Support Assistant

I feel privileged to have joined the staff here at Oxley. I have worked in learning support for the previous three years and as a primary teacher, in the past. I have a long association with Christian education and greatly appreciate working in a school where Biblical principles are central.

I love all sorts of crafting and currently I am doing lots of knitting and quilting.

Sarah Law

Senior School Teacher

I am very excited to be joining the Oxley community. Both my children attend Oxley. One in the Junior School, and my little one at Oxley Kids. I taught at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School prior to starting my family, and I am loving being back in the classroom. I’m teaching a range of subjects from Years 7 -10, and I am also a Year 7 Home Group teacher and Red House mentor – go Gibeon Warriors!

I love being involved in the school community and seeing my students succeed beyond their expectations.

Sonia McGill

Junior School Head of Learning Enhancement

I feel so blessed to be joining the Learning Enhancement team and the wider Oxley community!

I love learning and seeing students foster a love of learning too!

My heart is to see people flourish, developing their confidence and capacity in every sphere.

My prayer is that each one will come to know their identity, purpose and destiny in Him!

Ben Niemandt

Visual Arts – Head of Faculty

G'day! I am excited to being joining the Oxley community. I graduated with a double degree of Visual Arts and Secondary Education from Monash and have been teaching Senior Art ever since. The Lord has blessed me with a passion for all mediums of art, and a heart for young people making teaching a dream come true. I look forward to serving you in God's grace, and helping students make something they're proud of.

Naomi Perry

Junior School Teacher

Hello! It’s my pleasure to join the Oxley community this year!

I’ve recently finished studying a Bachelor of Primary Education at Deakin University and am looking forward to now teaching Year 3 in our Junior School. I’m so excited to be in the classroom and to get to know everyone!

Outside of school, I enjoy going to the beach, baking anything and everything chocolatey and spending time with my family and friends.

Hina Sasuga

Hello! I am thrilled to be joining the Performing Arts faculty this year. I had the most wonderful experience as a student here and feel very blessed to re-join the Oxley community in a new role. I have recently completed a Bachelor of Music at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, specialising in classical violin. I look forward to sharing my greatest passion and helping students develop not only techniques but also their love for music!
