Good afternoon all,
In the next few weeks you will be receiving bulletins rather than extensive newsletters. The communication you have been receiving through the Remote School Portal is more than sufficient at this time. You probably are experiencing an even closer look into the life of a school through this communication tool.
It is definitely a different educational time for our children, parents and teachers as we navigate the learning and teaching program. In the past two weeks we have been introducing our families to remote Learning with a 'Getting Ready to Learn at Home' plan which has allowed for a gradual launch into a term of difference and also an exciting learning phase.
I am amazed at how our teachers have prepared the curriculum content and are still remaining in connection and relationship with our children through a digital mode. The meetings through Google chat hangouts by teacher and children has elevated the excitement in what is possible through a remote learning mode, although we would prefer to have that teacher/ student contact within the walls of the classroom. Nothing can replace that.

2021 School Enrolments are still Open!
Can I request current families who have yet to enrol to submit an enrolment. To all other families could you please spread the word about the beautiful school that your child is attending, ST JAMES.

Google Chat Hangouts
Could I remind parents to remind the children that St James does have an ICT and Digital Technology ‘Acceptable Use Policy for Remote Learning’. Google Chat Hangouts are to be used for education and the St James school processes. It is not for personal and friend group chats.

God of Easter
God of Good Friday and God of Easter, as again we sing that joyous and explosive greeting, ‘Christ is risen’, may we take into our hearts the beautiful but harsh truth that our faith in you does not cut us off from the world but immerses us in it.
That you have called us to act in solidarity with the hopes and joys, the anxieties and sorrows of men and women everywhere.
And that, like Jesus, you have sent us to bring good news to the poor, to heal the contrite of heart, to seek and save what is lost.
Good Friday God, give us your peace,
God of Easter, journey with us now.
