Volleyball Champions at Marlborough P.S.

The following students participated in Eastern Regional Volleyball championships on Friday Nov 1st at Dandenong State Centre: Kaden I, Jamie T, Ruby P, Daniel H,  Jake S, Caelan M, Bailey M, Alex B and Nathan C. We played three sets against Mt Waverley North, Blackburn P.S and Oxley College. All games were very competitive and we improved with each game. Dan Higgins came to assist in coaching. In the final set against Oxley we won the set. It was a great achievement for a small school. Thank you to all the support from parents and guardians, especially our drivers Meralda and Kirstyn.

The following has been written by our captain Kaden I:

"This year we have been practising and playing Volleybounce and Volleyball for our inter-school sports.  Our team is made up of nine grade five students and we played well as a team.  First we played the district schools and we won.  Then we played at the divisional competition and we won again.  Then we made it to Regionals where we had to play Volleyball, not Volleybounce. We all played our best but we unfortunately only won one of our three games.  Thank you to our coaches Ms. Chisholm and Dan. Thank you to my team mates who were great sports. We had lots of fun".
