Principal's Report

Playgrounds

After a long consultation period and planning, we have engaged SafePlay to install our first new playground. Today they were out measuring up the site to finalise the plans and I look forward to sharing with everyone the design next week once it is finalised. 

This playspace will be for our Year 1 and 2 students and will sit behind the current 1/2 playground. As it has taken a little longer than anticipated  (and this additional time was to ensure that the design was perfect) this playground will be installed in early February 2020. 

This was chosen for the first project as it is the 'first piece of the puzzle' as such and allows us to move the Foundation students onto the current 1/2 playground once it is complete and remove the current Foundation play space to make a community meeting area/outdoor classroom. 

Our new Foundation and 3-6 playgrounds will be installed over the January period in 2021 ready for the new school year. 

2020 classes

Thank you to those families who have contacted me regarding their child's classroom placement for 2020. This is a long process that involves the whole staff to create the correct balance of students in each classroom.  Staff will be working on this over the next month with students being notified of their 2020 classroom teacher towards the end of the school year. 

Working Bee

We hope to see lots of families at our working bee on November 17th. Our goal for the day is to work on the entrance to the school leading up to the Administration Building. Information will be sent out soon on Compass outlining the skills and tools needed on the day.
